Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Wyoming's Mission

Picture
is to create confident and caring youth by supporting mentoring relationships, enhancing school programs, and enriching our community.

We currently
serve over 200 hundreds of youth throughout the Big Horn Basin.  The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Wyoming main office is located in Worland, Wyoming, with satellite offices in Park, Big Horn, and Hot Springs Counties.  We provide youth with mentors and friends through our proven targeted match systems. We maintain a strong presence in rural Wyoming by enhancing services and reaching out to more rural families each year.

The Yellowstone Adventure Camp Begins . . .

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Wyoming and the Moniker Foundation of Colorado have partnered to present the first annual Adventure Camp at the Creek Side Lodge at Yellowstone. Bigs and Littles will spend an all expenses paid week fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding and exploring Yellowstone National Park. Campers will enjoy meals from the chuck wagon around the camp fire each evening and will spend nights in the historic cabins (some dating to 1903) surrounding the Lodge. Big Brothers Big Sisters would like to thank the Moniker Foundation for the generous grant that made the camp possible. The camp is from June 13th - 19th & 20th – 26th. Be sure to check back for updates and pictures from the camp.

Meet Megan & Emery:  After School Sisters

Little Emery isn’t the only one to benefit from her match — Megan says being a Big gives her opportunities she wouldn’t otherwise have.  “I don’t have any younger siblings,” explains Megan.  Having Emery as her Little gives Megan the chance to experience what having a little sister would be like.  For Megan, having Emery as her little sister “is a joy.  Emery is a total sweetheart.  She makes me laugh.”

Six year old Emery feels the same way about Megan.  Her favorite thing about her Big Sister?  “She’s fun.”  Emery’s favorite thing to do at Big Brothers Big Sisters is to play games with her Big, especially tag.
